County will consider possible disaster relief

Homestead owners whose property was destroyed or substantially damaged in the May tornado may be able to apply for a tax abatement or credit. The Barton County Commission will discuss possible tax relief when it meets at 9 a.m. Monday at the Barton County Courthouse, 1400 Main.
Other items on the agenda include renewal of a software license; a holiday party for county employees; employee recognition awards; and an update on operations from Dale Phillips, director of Road and Bridge/Memorial Parks.
