The Great Bend Recreation Commission will host “Creepy Crawly,” a free Stop ‘N Learn session, from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the Great Bend Activity Center, 2715 18th St. This program will also be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, at the Senior Center, 2005 Kansas Ave.
Jean Aycok, Kansas Wetlands Education Center educator, will be the presenter, exploring why some animals “just creep us out.” Participants can learn more about animals that have historically given humans the willies, and the truth about whether or not we really have anything to be afraid of.
