Duck hunters invited to breakfast, raffle at KWEC

Duck hunting season begins on Saturday, Oct. 11 for the Cheyenne Bottoms area.  Duck hunters are invited to stop by the Kansas Wetlands Education Center from 8 a.m. to noon for  a free breakfast.  Biscuits and gravy, coffee and juice will be served.  The breakfast is sponsored by Great Bend Regional Hospital.
The Cheyenne Bottoms Ducks Unlimited Chapter will be holding a raffle and silent auction for outdoor-related merchandise.  Waterfowl identification and waterfowl hunting information booths will also be available.  The Kansas Wetlands Education Center is located at the southeast corner of Cheyenne Bottoms along K-156.  For questions about the breakfast call the KWEC, 877-243-9268.
