Barton Community College has announced dance line scholarships for 2010-11. Scholarship recipients have been selected by Barton’s head dance coach Amanda Schnoebelen. The following students, listed by hometown, have been selected for Barton dance line scholarships:

Augusta

Haley Johnson, a 2010 graduate of Augusta High School, has been active in AHS Dance Team four years serving as captain in her senior year, choir two years, Spanish for four years, NDA All-American and top gun winner, Walk for a Cure volunteer and Student Orientation leader. She was named 2009 Fall Homecoming Queen. She is the daughter of Loren and Tiffany Johnson, Augusta, and is a marine biology major with a minor in dance.

Great Bend

McKenna Werhahn, a 2010 graduate of Great Bend High School, has been active in dance line, Kayettes and orchestra. She is the daughter of Linda Werhahn and Randy Werhahn.

Sarah Schenk, a 2010 graduate of GBHS, has been active in Argonne Dance Line, A Cappella Choir, Madrigal Pops Singers and Kayettes. She is the daughter of Greg and Kim Schenk, Great Bend, and she is a nursing major.

Kylie Sinclair, a 2010 graduate of GBHS, has been active in Future Educators of America, serving on the board, Pep Club Board, cheerleading and Argonne Dance Line. She is the daughter of Darrin and Terri Sinclair, Great Bend, and is a general studies major.

Lindsborg

Jessamie Linder, a 2010 graduate of Smoky Valley High School, has been active in Wildfires Dance Team, volleyball, and track and field. She is the daughter of Jennifer and Kerry Linder, Lindsborg, and is a pre-veterinary major.

Macksville

Caitlyn Blakeslee, a 2010 graduate of Macksville High School, has been active in Kayettes as president, volleyball, track, band and cheerleading. She is the daughter of Cassie Blakeslee and Richard Blakeslee and is an accounting major.

Megan Welch, a 2010 graduate of Macksville High School, has been active in volleyball, cheerleading, yearbook and Kayettes. She also was named to the honor roll. She is the daughter of Kevin and Michell Welch and is a nursing major.

Russell

ZoAnn Mader, a 2010 graduate of Russell High School, has been active in high school newspaper as editor, Velocity Dance, Kansas Association for Youth, Explorers Club, Pep Club and yearbook. She earned membership in the National Honor Society. She is the daughter Curtis and Kristy Mader, Russell, and is a broadcast journalism major.

White City

Eryka Paige, a 2010 graduate of White City High School, has been active in volleyball, softball, basketball, cheerleading, dance, Friends of Rachel and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She is the daughter of Jerry and Dianne Paige, White City, and Levi and Shaunna Keenan, Great Bend. She is an athletic training major.

Wichita

Kelcie Johanek, a 2010 graduate of Bishop Carroll Catholic High School, has been active in varsity cheerleading for one year and dance team for three years. She is the daughter of Steve and Tracie Johanek, Wichita, and is a nursing major.

Amanda Trujillo, a 2010 graduate of Dakota Ridge High School, has been active in choir, soccer, varsity pom/dance and drama. She is the daughter of Valerie and Frank Trujillo and is an art major with a minor in dance/history.
