Barton Community College honored 20 employees during an All-College Forum Oct. 27, recognizing them for their years of service to the College. Human Resources director Julie Knoblich presented the awards for five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 years of service.

Recognized for 35 years of service was Barton’s Coordinator of Telecommunications Gerald Resner, Great Bend. Honored for 30 years were Psychology Instructor Rick Bealer, Great Bend, and Case New Holland Trainer Bert Besthorn, Claflin.

Honored for 25 years were History Instructor Linda McCaffery and Grounds Supervisor Rocky Meitner. Recognized for 20 years were Registrar Lori Crowther and Veterans Secretary and Accounts Receivable Clerk Jeanette Allen.

Honored for 15 years of service were Coordinator of Fund-raising and Special Events Coleen Cape, Choral Music Activities Director Vern Fryberger and Executive Director of Workforce Training and Economic Development Julie Kramp.

Receiving 10-year awards were Academic Advisor Sherri Henry, Great Bend, Barton County Upward Bound Tutor Carol Beck, Claflin, Graphic Arts Instructor Dana Allison and Cashier Michele Brack, both of Great Bend.

Recognized for five years of service were Head Men’s Basketball Coach Craig Fletchall, Nursing Program Director Linda Gobin, Mathematics Instructor Kristen Hathcock, Barton County Upward Bound Tutor Lisa Phillips and Security Officer Gary Shook.

Barton’s service award honorees received a certificate of appreciation and a catalog for selecting a gift to commemorate their years of service.
