Logan Evers of Great Bend High School was recently presented the school’s highest agricultural honor, the DEKALB Agricultural Accomplishment Award, sponsored by the Monsanto Company. He received the award for excellence in academics, leadership and agricultural work experience. Logan’s significant experiences and accomplishments have included maintaining a 3.98 GPA and Vice-president of the GBHS FFA Chapter. He also received a proficiency award in vegetable production.
Rollie Peter is the agricultural education instructor at Great Bend High School. Evers is the son of Dave and Betty Evers.This year the DEKALB Agricultural Accomplishment Award celebrates its 67th anniversary. Over these 67 years more than 168,000 high school seniors from across the country have received the Award, which has become a symbol for excellence and the school’s highest agricultural honor.
As the winner of the 2014 Award, Logan’s name will be recorded on a permanent plaque displayed at Great Bend High School.
