FHSU makes a splash with math and science summer camps

Elementary and middle school students are invited to attend the Fort Hays State University Science and Mathematics Education Institute summer camps. Camp fees are due at registration.
Roller Coaster Science and Art Camp is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 3 through 7 for students entering grades sixth through ninth. This camp explores the artistry, math and science behind building and promoting roller coasters.
Registration is limited to 16 students and the registration deadline is May 17. The registration fee is $60 per student.
CSI Girls Camp is June 10 through 13 for students entering eighth grade. This four-day residential camp will engage girls in a variety of fun and educational math and science activities, provide role models working in science and math professions, and provide social experiences designed to build girls’ desire to succeed in math and science.
Registration is limited to 24 students. The deadline is May 1. The registration fee is $200 per student.
Make a Splash with Math is from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. June 24 through 27, for students entering grades four through six.
Registration is limited to 30 students. The deadline is May 24. The registration fee is $60 per student.
The Robotics and Science Camp, scheduled for June 3-6, and Camp Invention, scheduled for June 24-27, are already full.
