A final listing of students who have been awarded scholarships by Fort Hays State University has been released for the 2016-2017 academic year.
Local students are: Jacob Dearman, son of Deidra Rowley, a 2016 Great Bend High School graduate, $1,000 Traditions Scholar Award; Ashley Lamb, daughter of Richard Lamb, a 2016 Hoisington High School graduate, $500 Academic Opportunity Award in justice studies, majoring in criminal justice; Edwin Ramirez, son of Eva Guerra, a 2016 Kinsley High School graduate, $2,000 Access to Academic Opportunity Grant, majoring in geology; Monica Gamez, daughter of Adrian and Maricela Gamez, a 2016 Lyons High School graduate, $4,000 Access to Academic Opportunity Grant; Logan Behr, son of Carl and Nicki Behr, a 2014 St. John High School graduate and an FHSU junior, $1,500 David M. Schumaker Geology Scholarship, majoring in geosciences.
