The Hoisington High School forensics team placed second out of nine schools at a recent tournament at Otis-Bison.  Members placed individually as follows:

    Joanna Lockwood placed second in informative speaking, qualifying her for the State Championship in Wichita in May.  
    Nick Doerschlag and Elizabeth Lacey placed second in duet acting, also qualifying for the State Championship.  Elizabeth also qualified in extemporaneous speaking by placing second in that event.
    Shae Bitter placed second in impromptu speaking and also qualified for the State Championship.  Shae also placed third in prose.
    Tanner Blackwell placed third in humorous solo acting, and Terance Croslin placed third in impromptu speaking.
    Jacob Satterlee placed fourth in informative speaking.  
    In extemporaneous speaking, Cameron Knapp placed fifth, and Jadyn Spears placed sixth.
    In action at Kinsley, Tanner Blackwell placed second in humorous solo acting and qualified for the State Championship.
    Joanna Lockwood placed third in informative speaking, and Logan McHenry placed fourth in prose.
    Nick Doerschlag and Terance Croslin placed third in improvised duet acting.  Terance also placed fourth in serious solo acting and fourth in oration.
    Kylie Crawford placed fifth in serious solo acting, and Corbin Crawford placed sixth in extemporaneous speaking.  
    In earlier action at TMP-Marian in Hays, Tanner Blackwell placed sixth in humorous solo acting, and the team finished fifth out of ten schools.
