Hoisington native graduates from Ivy League School

Dakota Meyers, Hoisington High Class of 2009, graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts in the field of Economics during the university’s 312th commencement ceremony, which took place last week. During the daylong ceremony, degrees were conferred to graduates of Yale College and all of the  university’s graduate schools, except for Yale Law School. Additionally, the ceremonies featured the conferral of honorary degrees to people of national notoriety, including Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor and the founder of
Federal Express, Frederick Smith.
Dakota is the son of James and Bonnie Meyers. He plans to stay in Connecticut and work for a start-up company that he and his associates plan to launch in the fall.
