Each year, Members of Congress have the opportunity to nominate outstanding young men and women to attend the nation’s military service academies. Following in-person interviews with candidates and rigorous evaluation by a board of Kansans, 1st District Congressman Tim Huelskamp announced that he would recommend the following individuals:
Caulan Brooks, of Larned, son of Ronald and Nikki Chlumsky. He attends Larned High School. U.S. Naval Academy Nomination.
Bryce Divis, of Great Bend, son of Stephen and Dixie Divis. He attends Kansas State University. U.S. Military Academy Nomination.
Cory Donley, of Salina, son of Clay and Jana Donley. He attends the U.S. Naval Academy Prep School in Newport, RI. U.S. Naval Academy Nomination.
Courtney Hahn, of Wakefield, daughter of Roy and Miriam Hahn. She attends Chapman High School. U.S. Naval Academy Nomination.
Shawn Lay, of Liberal, son of Calvin and Toni Lay. He attends Liberal High School. U.S. Naval Academy Nomination.

Jenna Schuckman, of Hays, daughter of Darin and Amy Schuckman. She attends Northwestern Preparatory School in Santa Barbara, CA. U.S. Air Force Academy Nomination.
