The Encore Performing Arts Series is proud to announce a special off-series concert by the Vienna Boys Choir, an exclusive performance in Hays at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12, in the Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center in Sheridan Hall on the Fort Hays State University campus.
“Tickets are reasonably priced, $24-$30 for the general public, $17-$21 for FHSU students, which should provide the entire Hays community a chance to enjoy what is sure to be a sensational event,” said Vince Bowhay, Special Events Committee chair. Tickets are available through the website, [www.fhsu.edu/encore]www.fhsu.edu/encore, at the Student Service Center in the Memorial Union, or by calling 785-628-5306.
Special group rates are also available for this show only – groups of 12 or more can purchase unreserved seats for $15 a ticket, said Bowhay.
Founded in 1498 by Emperor Maximilian, the Vienna Boys Choir sang exclusively for the imperial court until the early 20th century. Today, the famed choir, ages 10 to 14, delight music lovers around the world with a pure angelic sound that encompasses a vast repertoire from Austrian folk songs to classical masterpieces.
This event is sponsored by Todd and Andrea Sandoval.
