Wheatland Electric, Inc. today, announced that its Sharing Success Fund, managed by the Scott Community Foundation, has awarded an $850 grant to the Holy Family School in Great Bend.
The school submitted their request for the $850 grant which would allow them to purchase 2 iPads for two first grade classes at the school. The request was submitted by Mrs. Roxann Keenan, one of the first grade teachers at the school. The iPads will be used to enhance instruction in the two classrooms. The iPads will be used for whole group, small group and individualized instruction. Use of the iPads in a classroom setting will help to meet the different learning styles of the students by using a diverse mix of applications that will provide the opportunity to touch, see, hear and manipulate.
