EHS Don Regehr Band Instructor presented work of 6th thru 12th grades at recent 2014 winter concert held in the EHS auditorium. A few of the lively tunes included Little Drummer Dudes played by 6h grade, Michael Story Anthem of An Era synchronized by the Middle School, the rapping on chairs with drumsticks was titled Chair Jam played by the Middle School Explore Music group and the High School students harmonized a crowd pleasing melody to finalize the evening known as Goin’ Home for the Holidays. Announcer for the evening was Marlene Regehr, wife of Don. “We appreciate your support attending this concert, to take time out of our busy schedules to support your children’s music interest is very important as well as encouraging.” Marlene said. Upcoming band events include: Jan. 23-25 – KSU Concert Band Clinic in Manhattan; Feb. 8 – Band Dinner, Commons Area, HS 11 a.m.– 1 p.m.; March 10 – CPL League Music Festival; March 28 – Regional Music Festival for solos and small ensembles - Larned; April 16 – State Music Festival for Band – Pratt; April 25– State Music Festival for solos and small ensembles - Salina; May 5 – Spring Band Concert grades 5-12.
