The Ellinwood City Council will meet Monday evening at 7 p.m. at the city office for a special meeting to discuss the reestablishment of a Neighborhood Revitalization Plan. In April, 2010, the council approved a neighborhood revitalization plan that designated two tiers, the first a designated area and the second the remainder of the city. Formulas were created for required investment and improvement in order to receive tax rebates. The 2010 plan terminated Dec. 31, 2014. The new plan to be presented will essentially be the same form as the 2010 plan, according to City Manager Bud Newberry.
