The Barton Community College Board of Trustees will learn about an esports proposal when it meets at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, in Room F-30 of the Fine Arts Building. This is the board’s monthly study session where no action is taken.
Trustees are considering offering esports, with scholarships for esports athletes, and hiring a part-time coach. The program is expected to bring new students and revenue to the college.
Other items on the agenda are the October financial statement, Assessment Academy Outcomes report and Title IX progress report.
