Several area events have been canceled or postponed due to the expected ice storm.
The Shafer Gallery exhibit opening reception for “Quarks, Quirks & Conundrums,” originally scheduled for Friday evening, has been rescheduled to 4 p.m. on Feb. 11, at the end of the exhibits. In addition to this exhibit featuring works by Wayne Conyers, the gallery is currently showing ceramics by studio potter Brenda Lichman.
The Relay For Life of Barton County 2017 Kickoff set for Jan. 14 has been rescheduled. It will take place on Saturday, Jan. 28, from 9-10 a.m. at the Columbus Club in Great Bend. The Knights of Columbus will serve breakfast at 10 a.m.
The Daughters of Isabella Soup Sampler Supper, scheduled for Sunday, has been postponed for one week. It is now scheduled for 4:30-6:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, at the Prince of Peace Parish Center, 4100 Broadway Ave.
