As part of the International Men’s March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault, and Gender Violence, the local Family Crisis Center is hosting its 2nd Annual Walk-a-Mile fundraiser from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, April 30 at Jack Kilby Square, in dowtown Great Bend.
Teams of four will “put themselves in her shoes” (literally) to show their commitment to stopping sexual assault and domestic violence. The team with the fastest time wins, Additional prizes will be awarded for Best Dressed, Most Graceful, and Most Likely to Turn an Ankle. Registration is $200 per team, which includes the information packet and four t-shirts. Shoes will be available at the event.
