According to the Great Bend Fire Department. At 2:46 p.m. on Saturday, units responded to a building fire at 300 SE 10 Road.
Upon arrival units found a building approximately, 30’ X 50’ totally engulfed.
Two vehicles were on fire near the east side of the building. There were several other vehicles on the north side of the building, but they did not appear to be in immediate danger.
Ellinwood Fire Department assisted with water supply along with the Sherriff’s office.
The building and its contents were a total loss. Estimated $25,000 loss.
It was determined that the owner was burning weeds around the property including around the shed which caught fire.
