Flashing new lights
City of Great Bend Street Department personnel Wednesday afternoon installed new flashing red lights atop the stop signs on 24th Street where it crosses K-96. The solar-powered beacons are an upgrade to the intersection and will help improve safety, Street Superintendent Mike Crawford said.
