Fort Larned National Historic Site will be closing the park’s rest area on K-156 for the winter, from Dec. 1, 2017, to March 1, 2018. “Closing this restroom for winter months saves significant energy through the winter,” said William Chapman, Fort Larned facility manager. “Signs will direct visitors to alternative restroom facilities at the park’s visitor parking lot and in the Visitor Center.”
