Fort Larned National Historic Site has resumed regular operations following the government shutdown’s resolution.

LARNED – With the enactment of the continuing resolution, staff at Fort Larned National Historic Site resumed regular operations at 11 a.m. Saturday,  said the park’s Superintendent Betty Boyko. She encourgages folks to visit nps.gov/fols for updated information about the park, including regular hours of operation.

“Fort Larned’s employees and volunteers are happy to be back at work, serving the American people and welcoming visitors to their national parks,” Boyko said. “Telling the story of the fort’s history along the Santa Fe Trail and preserving the historic buildings are jobs that our staff are dedicated to doing and pleased to be taking up again.”
