Great Bend USD 428 served more than 12,000 breakfasts and lunches at five elementary schools in June. Lunches are still being served this month at Park School. They are available from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, through July 27.
Anyone may eat lunch at Park. Meals are free for children 1-18 years old. Adults may eat for $3.50.


Superintendent Khris Thexton reported that in June, USD 428 School Food Service served 4,678 breakfasts and 8,080 lunches. The number of breakfasts served was about the same as in 2017, but the number of lunches served was down from 9,484 the previous year. Summer school was also going on at the schools in June, which contributed to the attendance.
