HOISINGTON — Strengthening Families Program is a free, evidence-based skills program being offered over 10-weeks starting Tuesday, September 8 at the Hoisington First United Methodist Church, 467 W. 4th Street. The two-hour classes, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., are family friendly and include a meal and childcare for younger children. Designed to be presented to the entire family, ages 6 and up, SFP uses a video-based teaching system and trained family coaching staff, and emphasizes family bonding with respect, praise and positive time together, and teaches effective discipline, stress and anger management techniques.
