Free summer lunches, snacks continue for one more week

This summer, children are enjoying a wide variety of menu items through the Free Summer Food Program provided in partnership with Great Bend USD 428 and USDA.

July 22-26 is the final week for the Summer Food Service Program to offer free lunch at Park Elementary School and a free snack at the Great Bend Public Library, to anyone 18 years of age or younger.

The federally administered program is sponsored locally by Great Bend USD 428.

Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, July 22-26, at Park Elementary School, 1801 Williams St. Anyone older than 18 is welcome to purchase lunch for $3.50.

Snacks will be served from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at the library, 1409 Williams St.
