Friends of Cheyenne Bottoms to hold annual meeting

The Friends of Cheyenne Bottoms Annual Meeting will be at 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 17 at the Kansas Wetlands Education Center, 592 NE K-156. Prior to a short business meeting, members will be treated to a meal of hamburgers and hot dogs.
After the meeting, Don Kazmaier from Larned will give a presentation on how to attract hummingbirds. Kazmaier has been attracting several species of hummers to his yard for many years and has grown and tested several flower varieties, developing a list of plants hardy enough to grow in South Central Kansas.
Memberships and renewals are $25 and will be available for purchase the day of the meeting. For more information contact Travis Thompson, FOCB president, at 620-639-1156.
