Front Door utilities building closes due to water line burst

The City of Great Bend's water billing is handled at its Front Door facility. The city is looking at an automated water meter reading system.

The City of Great Bend’s Front Door will be closed Tuesday. The facility had a water line break over the weekend which partially flooded it and repairs are currently being done. 

City officials said there will be no shutoffs this week. Shutoffs will resume Tuesday, Feb. 23. 

Utility payments may be made via the on-line bill pay, at drop boxes located at the Front Door, City Office or Dillon’s on West 10th Street, or by auto-bank drafts.
