A Great Bend man is in the Barton County Jail after allegedly threatening his ex-girl friend with a gun Thursday morning, Great Bend Police Chief Steve Haulmark said.

At about 6:57 a.m. Thursday, the Great Bend Police Department was dispatched to a residence in reference to a domestic disturbance, Haulmark said. Upon the officers’ arrival, they met with the victim who reported her ex-boyfriend, Sean Swigert, 33, came to her house and threatened to kill her with a gun before leaving the area in a blue Dodge pickup.

Officers located the pickup and Swigert in the 2200 block of 28th in Great Bend. Swigert was arrested for aggravated assault and he was booked at the Barton County Jail in lieu of bond.
