A Great Bend man was transported to a Wichita hospital Thursday afternoon after he was injured in a work-related accident at Great Bend Industries, the Great Bend Fire Department reported.
According to reports from the fire department and the Great Bend Police Department, they responded to GBI at 12:51 p.m. and found Bill Krom who had head injuries following an incident involving pipe. Krom was transported by GBFD ambulance directly to the nearby Great Bend Municipal Airport where a Lifeteam crew flew him to Wichita where he was taken to Via Christi St. Francis.
According to a hospital spokesperson, Krom was listed in serious condition as of late Thursday evening.
