A large contingent of Great Bend High School business students traveled to Canton/Galva last weekend to participate in the Future Business Leaders of America district competition.
They walked away with more state qualifiers than ever before in the history of the program.
"All of the students did very well and they far exceeded my expectations," said Cody Lee, GBHS business teacher and FBLA sponsor.
"This is the highest number of students we have ever taken to state so, hopefully, we can qualify some for the national competition in Orlando, Fla., this summer," she said. "The experience of state is exciting and I am thankful so many are going to get to experience it."
Lee said state will be March 31 and April 1 in Topeka at the Capitol Plaza Hotel.
