COURTESY PHOTO At the Halstead Debate Tournament on Sept. 26, two Great Bend High School Debate teams placed in the Novice Division. Emily Beck and Lexi Ratcliff place fourth with a 3-2 win/loss record and 22 speaker points. Garret Dykes and Geoffrey Pafford place seventh with 3-2 win/loss record and 25 speaker points. Coach Barbara Watson said the team is off to a great start after successfully hosting their own debate last weekend only by having so many wonderful people from the community judging for us.
