Music fans are invited to join the Great Bend High School Panther Jazz Band for Pop and Popcorn at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct 4 for the annual Fall Concert. The concert will be in the relaxed atmosphere of the GBHS Jack Kilby Commons Area where audience members can enjoy munching on popcorn, and sipping a pop or bottled water.
Selections include: “Popcorn” (of course), “Unchained Melody,” “Work Song,” “I’m Your Baby Tonight,” “Africa,” “Gotta ‘Bone to Pick with You,” “Bacon Suite Blues,” “Still,” “Now’s the Time” and “Rhythm is Gonna Get Ya.”
Soloists featured during the concert are Andrew Reed, Johan Sanchez, Robbie Brining, Aaron Schultz, Joshua Patton, Alex Smith, Matthew Phillips, Andrew Curtright, Allison Regehr, Dorian Lueth and Brandon Crane.
Mark DeWald and Don Regehr direct the Jazz Band. The concert is free and the public is invited to attend a fun-filled evening. Donations will be accepted to offset the pop and popcorn expense.
