The Great Bend High School Marching Panther Band received three “I” ratings on its performance at the Bretz-Young Law Arena at the Kansas State Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 16. Selections performed were Malaguena and El Gato Triste. Fifty bands competed in downtown and fairground marching. The band will also perform at the GBHS Homecoming Parade and halftime which will feature the marching show, “Latin Heat.” Band and orchestra students are also selling tickets for the annual Homecoming Chili Supper on Friday, Oct. 2.
