Sunday is the last day to catch the Great Bend High School Spring Play, “Cursed.”

There will be a matinee at 2 p.m. at the GBHS Auditorium. The play opened Friday and a 7 p.m. performance tonight is also planned.

Drama instructor Holly Johnson wrote the play with help from students in her Advanced Theatre class. It is adapted from the fairy tale “The Wild Swans” by Hans Christian Anderson.

“The play is a mix of both funny and serious,” Johnson said. The story is about a princess who rescues her brothers from a spell cast by an evil queen.

There are two acts.

“This is the first in-person show this year,” Johnson said. “Everyone is extremely excited and nervous to do the play live.”

Social distancing and masks are required for the audience.

Tickets are $6 at the door. (If you can find a drama club member, you may be able to grab an advance ticket for $4.)
