GBHS Students Compete at State Speech Championship Tournament Great Bend High School Speech students competed at the 5A State Speech Championship Tournament held at Topeka Seaman High School and four events advanced to Semifinals. Freshman, Garrett Dykes in Humorous Solo Acting; Junior, Makinna Dykes in Informative Speaking; and Junior Ashtin Heath in Dramatic Solo Acting. In Informative Speaking Heath advanced to finals and placed 5th.
