GBRC announces new fitness classes

The Great Bend Recreation Commission is forming its September sessions of exercise classes that will begin after Labor Day. 

Laurie McCurry will lead Yoga classes on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30 p.m. beginning September 4 through October 2; Cardio Blast exercise classes on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30–6:30 p.m., and Zumba class on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30–7:30 p.m.

Dixie Divis offers Noon Body Shaping that meets Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 12:10–12:50 p.m., September 4 through October 4. Divis will lead Coffee, Cardio & Core on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:15–6 a.m. beginning September 3.

Dee Krier instructs Tai Chi classes. Tai Chi Beginners meets on Wednesdays from 3–4 p.m., September 4 through October 2. Tai Chi Intermediate meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30–6:30 p.m. beginning September 3. Tai Chi Advance meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30–6:30 p.m. beginning September 4.

Krier also teaches Gentle Yoga, which meets on Mondays and Thursdays from 3–4 p.m., September 5 through October 3, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30–7:30 p.m., starting September 3.

Dixie Divis will be teaching a Fit Trail Fitness class on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:45–6:30 p.m. beginning September 3. This class will include cardio, body weight exercises and circuit style training by utilizing the Great Bend Fit Trail located on the north side of Veterans Memorial Park at 17th and McKinley St.  

All classes except Fit Trail Fitness will be held at the Great Bend Recreation Activity Center located at 2715 18th St.  Preregistration is required.
