The Great Bend Recreation Commission will host a free Stop ‘N Learn Session titled “Notable Naturalists” from noon–1 p.m. Wednesday at the Great Bend Activity Center, 2715 18th St.
This program will also be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Great Bend Senior Center located, 2005 Kansas Ave.
Sure, most of us know about Audubon and Darwin, but there are many other notable naturalists who made great contributions to our knowledge of the natural world.
Jean Aycock, Kansas Wetlands Education Center educator, will stories of some of the lesser known naturalists in history.
