The Great Bend Recreation Commission will be hosting a free Stop ‘N Learn Session titled, “Society For Creative Anachronisum” on Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 12–1 p.m., at the Great Bend Activity Center located at 2715 18th. The Society for Creative Anachronisum is an international organization dedicated to researching and recreating the sills and traditions of the pre-17th-century Europe. Members take part in a variety of activities, including costuming, metalwork, woodworking, music, dance, calligraphy, fiber art and much more. Members of the local chapter will be on hand to talk and share some information about some of these topics. Terry Asper and Shire of Westumbria club members will be the presenters for this program.
