Golden Belt Community Foundation celebrated their 20th anniversary with $20,000 in grants for community projects at our Giving Tuesday event. Four projects from each county in our service area were selected for the communities to vote on. Over 2,200 votes were cast both in person and online. The $5,000 grant recipients are:
Barton: Ellinwood Splash Pad
Pawnee: Pawnee County 4-H Special Interest Clubs
Rush: City of McCracken Merry-Go-Round
Stafford: City of Stafford Toddler Playground
Golden Belt Community Foundation’s 20 year anniversary kicked off with a listening tour in our four-county service area. Through the year we also met with organizations and spoke to community stakeholders. We wanted to do something special in each county for our 20th anniversary and thought whom better to select the grant recipients than the public.
This is Golden Belt Community Foundation’s third #GivingTuesday event. This national effort launched to inspire giving and our communities certainly reflect this philanthropic marvel. Gifts received through the month of November may be eligible for the proportional match. Give online at www.goldenbeltcf.org.
