Great Bend woman seriously injured in Friday crash

PAWNEE COUNTY — A Great Bend woman was transported to Pawnee Valley Community Hospital in Larned Friday with suspected serious injuries sustained in a one-vehicle crash in southern Pawnee County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that Kristi Marie Oak, 34, Great Bend, was southbound on 40th Ave at approximately 8:20 a.m. Friday, approximately a half-mile south of B Road and 3.4 miles north of Macksville. The 2007 Ford Explorer she was driving then swerved left of center and off the roadway into the east ditch.

The vehicle struck a field entrance and rolled multiple times, coming to rest on its wheels in the adjacent field.

Oak was transported to PVCH by Pawnee County EMS with suspected serious injuries, the KHP said. She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, the KHP reported.
