Both the Barton County Sheriff’s Office and the Great Bend Police Department are investigating reports of stolen weapons.
The the BCSO received reports of two burglaries on Friday.
Approximately 15 firearms were stolen from a rural Claflin residence at 11386 of NE 120 Ave., sometime between Thursday night and Friday night. Rifles, shotguns and handguns were taken. The occupant of the house also discovered one or more items were destroyed during the burglary.
The BCSO also received a report Friday morning that a break-in had occurred at one of the residences at All Seasons Mobile Home Community, 4 NW 30 Road.
The GBPD also received two burglary reports on Friday.
A wallet was taken from a vehicle at 2601 Coronado Ave.
An unknown subject entered the residence at 908 Adams St. and took items.
On Saturday, police received a report that several guns, knives and swords were stolen from 1427 11th St.
Theft of items from a vehicle at 1530 Cherry Lane was reported at 6:41 a.m. Monday.
