“Guns & Smoke Exhibit” at Abilene museum

The Jeffcoat Photography Studio Museum in downtown Abilene has unveiled its new exhibit, “Guns & Smoke,” honoring the Abilene Police and Fire Departments.  

The exhibit features historical photos and artifacts, including a firefighter helmet worn by Wade Nee-ham, a Vajen Bader Smoke protector, General Ike II’s dog collar, and a hand/horse-drawn firefighting hose cart.

“Guns & Smoke” runs until Sept. 13. Visit 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Wednesda’ss, Friday’s and Saturday’s, and 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Thursday’s.
