Registration is open for Heartland Farm’s 2023 Farm to Table Fundraising Dinner.
Taking place on the Farm’s open-air pavilion, the Farm to Table Dinner is one of the non-profit Farm’s most important annual fundraisers. This year’s Farm to Table theme is Farm Fiesta and will feature a meal created by Great Bend residents and cooking enthusiasts Vaughn and Stephannie Goerl.
Inspired by an appreciation for south-of-the-border cuisine, the annual 2023 Heartland Farm Farm-to-Table dinner highlights proteins and produce from local vendors, including Heartland Farm. Guests will enjoy multiple courses featuring Mexican street corn and jalapeño poppers, tacos prepared with three different fillings, chicken braised in a tomato-chipotle sauce, beans, rice (with a twist), and tres leches cake for dessert. Special dietary needs will be accommodated with vegetarian and gluten-free options.
Entertainment will be provided by professional classical guitarist and Peruvian native Aleia Gonzalez, a recent addition to the Barton Community College teaching staff.
A silent auction featuring many homemade and handmade items from the farm and beyond and the opportunity to shop the unique gift shop will round out this unique Central Kansas event.
Space is limited to 50. Registration deadline is Monday, Sept. 11, or when sold out. Advance registration required at $60 per person. Register at heartlandfarm-ks.org/farm-to-table-2023.
Tickets also available at the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce, 1125 Williams, Great Bend.
