HOISINGTON — Hoisington’s annual cleanup will be Thursday and Friday, Sept. 22-23.
Residents should place bagged, boxed or bundled items on their front curbs. Stutzman Refuse Disposal facilitates the removal and asks that the debris be sorted by construction materials, furniture and plastic materials, electronic waste, appliances and scrap metal, and tires.
There will be a $25 fee for appliances containing Freon unless labeled with a “Freon capture tag” from a qualified contractor.
Tires, with and without rims, will also have a charge.
Stutzman Refuse Disposal will not pick up hazardous waste, tree limbs, rocks, bricks or other yard waste. Household hazardous waste can be taken to the Barton County Landfill on the third Saturday of each month from April through October from 8 a.m. to noon.
