A Hoisington woman was taken to Great Bend Regional Hospital on Thursday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash at NE 30 Road and North Washington in Barton County.
Sheriff Brian Bellendir reports that a 1996 Ford F-150 pickup truck operated by Garrett Dykes, 16, of Great Bend failed to yield right-of-way at a stop sign, around 1:30 p.m. A 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser operated by Irma J. Gerritzen, 64, of Hoisington was northbound on North Washington Street and struck the pickup
Gerritzen sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital by Great Bend Fire Department EMS. The intersection was closed for nearly an hour.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by units of the Great Bend Fire Department and EMS.
