With the theme “Home is the heart of the holidays,” the Holiday Home Tour returns Sunday. Presented by the Barton County Fair Association and hosted by the Fair Friends, it runs from 1-5 p.m.

“It’s a good fundraiser for us,” said Charles Atkinson of the Fair Association, but he noted it goes beyond that. “We enjoy the holidays and enjoy seeing how people decorate for the holidays.”

Tickets are $10 per person and will be available at the door of each house on the route. Homes featured on the tour are all located in Great Bend and include:

• Mike and Susan Carlson – 3407 Meadowlark

• Jessica Corcoran – 2323 Broadway

• Benjamin Moses and Stacy Farris – 2535 Broadway

• Mike and Tana Newkirk – 3220 Broadway

• Kenny and Rhonda Penka – 3201 16th

The tours were canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19 concerns. But, the association felt the community was ready this year, Atkinson said.

“We wanted to give people a chance to get out and celebrate the season,” he said.
