Homes still without power after last Sunday’s storm
NEW Wheatland color with tag-FINAL

A week following the devastating supercell thunderstorm tore through the area, there were still 29 customers without electricity as of Monday afternoon, said Alli Conine, corporate communications manager for Wheatland Electric.

According to the cooperative’s website, those customers are concentrated in the central and eastern parts of Great Bend.

The electric cooperative has restored power to these homes, but the damage requires an electrician to make the repairs, she said.

There are also still 10 power poles down in Great Bend, she said.
