The Golden Belt Humane Society gave back to their community by giving out pallets of pet supplies on Saturday, April 8 at the Brit Spaugh Park. Heather Acheson and her team of volunteers started calling out numbers promptly at 10 a.m.
This first-come, first-serve event had 25 pallets of free pet supplies to give away. The pet supplies consisted of dog food, cat food, gates, crates, toys, and various other supplies for your furry friend.
“We had people showing up at 7 a.m.,” event volunteer Jason Blundell said. The park was filled with people anxiously waiting for their number to be called.
This event was made possible through a partnership through the Humane Society of the United States and Chewy. This was open to all pet owners.
