American Legion Post 180, Crime Stoppers of Great Bend and Barton County, along with the Barton County Sheriff’s Reserve will be offering an “Ident-a-kid” program.
The event will take place at the American Legion Post 180 at 1011 Kansas Ave. in Great Bend on Dec. 19.
Officers will be available from 10 a.m. until noon.
The children will be photographed, fingerprinted and a DNA sample will be taken. The items are then returned to the parent.
In the event a child is lost or abducted, the information would be used to assist in the investigation.
If you have young children, this is an excellent opportunity to help protect them in the event of an emergency.
This service is offered free to the public.
