K-156 pavement-marking in Pawnee County delayed by rain

Rain has delayed the start of pavement-marking on K-156 in Pawnee County by about a week.

The K-156 project will cover about 25 miles in Pawnee County, from the Hodgeman County line east to the west city limits of Larned.

The K-156 work was expected to begin around May 25, but rain has delayed that start to around the first week in June. The project is still expected to end around early July, depending on the weather.

During the work, traffic will be controlled by flaggers and a pilot car. Motorists should be prepared to stop and face delays of up to 15 minutes.

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is the contractor for the $342,161 project.
